can I play an animated gif loop on a dvd player so that it runs continuously?

December 312009

Posted in gif | 1 Comment »

I need to leave an gif animated loop playing in an art gallery and I don’t want to leave my laptop there .
So I am trying to play it in a dvd player but do not know the process..
Please help….Its for art and science.

There is a website called:

http://www.gifninja.com/SplitGif.aspx

…where you can upload your animated gif that will split it into individual pictures and then allow you to download the individual pictures.

Once you have downloaded the individual pictures, you can then drag them into an application like Windows Movie Maker or Pinnacle Videospin (free download) as individual frames which you can then time and then run like an animation.

Once you have put this together you should be able to create a DVD from the resulting video clip.

The trouble with this is that the longer the animated gif, the longer it will take for you to do.

The good thing is, is that you can also add music and special effects to the piece if you want to.

Amazon Kindle How-To Series: Great Kindle 2 Keyboard Shortcuts

December 202009

Posted in gif | No Comments »

The new Amazon Kindle 2’s features and navigation is easy to access with the MENU, and HOME buttons, along with the 5-way navigator. But there are keyboard shortcuts built into the Kindle that can make using your new e-book reader more enjoyable. There also are some special features only available using keyboard shortcuts. Here are some of the shortcuts you should keep in-mind when using your Kindle 2.

Refresh your display – the new Kindle’s screen is a big improvement over the Kindle 1. The new “digital ink” gives the screen a little better contrast and sharpness. It also moves from page to page more quickly. What you’ll find however is that sometimes you get a “ghosting” image on your screen. This can be annoying as you read. To refresh your screen hold down the ALT key then press the “G” key.

Use the Kindle’s built-in Spoken Word feature – you can press and hold down the ALT key then press the SYM key to turn the Spoken Word feature on or off. If you want to pause the Spoken Word feature press the ALT key and the space bar. Press the ALT key and the space bar again to resume playing Spoken Word.

Can’t wait to buy some new books for your Kindle 2? Press the ALT key and the HOME button to go immediately to the Kindle store.

If you find a key passage of a book that you want to send to someone you can take a screen shot using your Kindle. Press and hold the ALT and SHIFT (up arrow) keys and then the “G” key. The screen will flash when the screen capture is complete. Attach your Kindle 2 to your computer using the USB cable. You’ll find your screen shots there with a .gif file extension. You can copy the screen shots to your computer and attach them to e-mails or print them out.

Are you bored of reading and thinking of something else to do? Of course you could use your Kindle 2 to surf the web – or – you could play a game of Minesweeper. Press and hold down the ALT key and the SHIFT (up arrow) keys and then press the “M” key. The Minesweeper game will appear on your screen. Press the MENU button to change the game options.

If you’ve uploaded your own text files to your Kindle you may need to have the Kindle scan your documents so the new files show-up on your Home page. To do this hold-down the ALT key and then press the “Z” key.

How long have you been reading this book? To find-out press the Menu key and look at the top of your Kindle display. There you’ll see the time, the memory free on your Kindle 2, and details on your wireless network connection (right now mine says “3G”).

Need some detailed technical information on your Kindle 2? From the Home Page go to Menu > Settings and then type “411″. A screen will open showing your Settings and Device Information. Take a screen shot – hold down the “ALT” and “SHIFT” keys then press the “G” key – to save the information on the screen. Press the Home button again to close this window.

Congratulations! You’ve just learned how to get more use and enjoyment from your Kindle 2 e-book reader. To get keyboard shortcuts for your Kindle 1 visit the Guide to Kindle link at the bottom of this article.

The Difference Between Web and Graphic Design

December 182009

Posted in gif | No Comments »

Designing for web and print are two different experiences. Just because a designer is good at one doesn’t mean they’ll be good at the other. It’s necessary to understand that web and print share many similarities, for more help visit to: www.instant-audio-mastery.com.but they also have many differences.

Resolution is the quality of an image. It’s measured in terms of pixels. If you see an image listed as “72 pip”, that means the image has 72 pixels per inch (pip). Because web graphics are viewed on screen, they should be no larger than 72 pips. A large pip image will load slower, and won’t necessarily look any better.

JPEG stands for Joint Photographers Experts Group. It’s a great format that retains color and detail found in photographs and graphics with lots of color blends. JPEGs can display millions of colors so it’s ideal for print work.

GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format. Most web pages use this format because it’s supported by all web browsers, can display up to 256 colors,
For more detail go to: www.master-web-graphics.com.and can include transparent backgrounds. GIFS are appropriate for image files with little color variation, and for images that will only be viewed on screen.

Photographs saved as GIFs may appear grainy. Single color images saved as JPEGs may appear fuzzy. When you save a graphic image, consider what type of file it is. Remember, GIFs work best with images having few colors or color variations. JPEGs work best with photographs or images to be printed.

There is a major difference between choosing fonts for web as opposed to print. With print design, your completed piece will display the font specified during the design process. You don’t have to worry that a reader will open your brochure and not have the proper fonts displayed. However, web designers never know for sure if their fonts will display properly.

Unlike with print, web fonts differ based on the web browser being used. Your audience can only view the same font you’re viewing if it’s installed on their computer. If you design a beautiful website using Chaucer Bold, and none of your viewers have that font, their browsers will have to find a substitute.

This is why it’s good to be conservative when it comes to web fonts. Your beautifully designed page can look horrible when displayed on someone else’s browser. Don’t let your hard work go to waste. Stick to fonts such as Helvetica, Arial, Times New Roman, or Verdana. All web browsers are capable of displaying these fonts. However, if you do want to use a creative font, you can include it in a graphic file. But this will cause your page to load slower.

If you’re a print designer faced with designing a web page, take time to study the subject. You will be able to create a pleasing and effective site if you recognize the differences between print and web design.

Your Best Friend — Mini projector

December 152009

Posted in gif | No Comments »

As a businessman, you have to meet your customers from time to time. And in order to make a perfect introduction about your products, you have to carry a big bag full of data. However, this data is far from perfect. It cannot completely show all the features of your products. In this case, if the customers can provide you with a projector, you can display your elaborate video. With a perfect video embodying all the information, you can perfectly make your customers know your products. However, will all the customers provide you with the projector? Of course not. Then, what can you do? What if carry a projector with you all the time?

In your spare time, you must be willing to stay at home. But you really want to watch a film. Yes, you can watch a film on TV or on your computer. However, the small screens like the TV and computer cannot satisfy you. What a difference in the house and in the cinema! What if a projector with screen from 15 inches to 100 inches? Bigger or smaller, at your choice! There could be no better if you have admirable acoustics at the same time. You are in your own “cinema” then. But, how expensive the projector is! And it takes too much room in your house, doesn’t it?

During the vocation, it is wonderful to camp out with your good friends.  You may very possibly record every interesting thing with your DV in the daytime and you could hardly wait to share it with your friends in the evening by a projector. But unfortunately, there’s no electricity outdoors and the projector cannot work. If only the projector could work with batteries!

It was set down as an impossibility before. However, people work miracle — Mini-projector was born.

The Mini-projector lense uses cold White LED as the light source for the rear projection screen. With compact function and size, it’s nearly the same size of the remote headphones, less than half an inch (13 mm) thick. The service life of the bulb is over 20,000 hours. With this bulb of 30lm, the projection on the screen is very clear.

Like the trodictional projector, Mini-projector supports AV interface. It is of Color reproduction — Full 16.7 Million Colors. With resolution of 800*600 Pixels (VGA), the projection scope could be as large as 100 inches.

The connecting terminals include TV/DVD/PMP/DV/DC/PSP & ALL with AV out device. With 2GB internal memory, it supports external memory up to 32GB. Multiple connecting terminals and huge memory satisfy all your needs.

Video compatibility includes MPEG4,AVI,RM,RMVB,FLV,WMV and ASF; picture compatibility includes JPG, BMPand GIF; while Audio compatibility includes MPEG1-3, WAV, WMA, APE, FLA AND AAC. It supports all common formats.

With power source of 12V-2A, dimension of 113mm*78mm*34mm (L*W*H) and weight of 400g, Mini-projector is the same size of a mobile phone. Isn’t  it very convenient to for you to carry? It supports electricity and battery. And it supports 14 different languages, satisfying customers from different countries. shopofdeal supplies the Mini-projector.

Diablo 2 – Mf Bosses and Areas Guide

December 122009

Posted in gif | No Comments »

Act1:

Pits -
The Pits, located in the Tamoe Highlands are most easily accessed by travelling down from the Outer Cloister WP and follwing the path until it forks, if you don\’t use MH then i would advise the right track. The Pits can technically drop any item other than torches-annis-uber keys and organs-standard of heroes-tamoe highlands. Some of the better drops are Windforce, High Runes and uniques like Griffons. However, they are mostly run for socketables like 15//15 armours, eth armours for bugging and open socket Berserker Axes etc… Full of pack uniques monsters. Any character will succeed basically.

Countess -
The Countess is located in the 5th level of the Forgotten Tower and is surrounded by dark archers and Ghotsts. She herself is very rarely light immune so Light Sorcs are good/ The Countess can drop Terror Keys (up to three at once) and is TT66 in Hell, she also has her own unique rune drop which can go as high as Ist, and as high as Lo on her normal drop list. She is easy to run and is good for making cash at the start of ladders.

Andariel -
Andariel is loacted in the 4th level of the Catacombs and has a Tc level of TT69. She is well known for her jewelery drops and I get my fair share of charms from her and gems from her minions, Shakos and War Travellers are also not a rare sight. Andariel has a reduction in fire resist so fire sorcs are a good option here, orb sorcs also work well and they rip through most of the minions, my personal favourite however is the light sorc once more.

Act2:

The Summoner -
The Summoner is located down one of the 4 ledges leading off from the Arcane Sanctuary WP, the ledge is chosen at random. Although the summoner rarely drops any actual good items he drops Hate keys (up to 3) and i\’ve had a bunch of rare rings//amulets and an eth armour. The summoner is sometimes cold immune so a Light sorc is a great option here.

Act3:

Travincal -
Travincal is well known for it\’s HRs, gems, gold and rare items. I\’ve also in my time and found a fair few unique amulets//rings 2 of which were soj and 1 was maras. They are however annoying to kill and i would advise running them only if you have a Hammerdin or a good sorc like light with infinity or for immunes.

Mephisto -
Mephisto is a great runner, drops are frequent and she is known for drops such as Zakarum, Shako, War Travellers, Gores, Wizzy and Arachs. Dont miss the council here, there easier then Travincal and they once dropped me homu + occy in one run. Mephisto is located in level 3 of the Durance just beside a river of burning lava and a red portal. Orb sorcs are good here. Watch out for the ball thing wink.gif

Act4:

Chaos Sanctuary -
Diablo himself is not the main part here, it\’s his minions… they have the ability to drop good items such as Dracs and other uniques. I\’ve heard of many Vex\’s etc being dropped although I myself have only found Mal, on Open tongue.gif Diablo himself can drop good items ofc and his GCs can be sold or cubed for 45 lifer skillers. Hammedins and trapsins are best here. Chaos is found along the Flaming River

Act5:

Pindleskin -
Pindle is like an Alvl85 area except Tyreals//Arach and i think one more item (confirmation of this item would be great). Pindleskin can be found through the red portal opened up by Anya, i would do Nili and just tele back to do Pindle. Some good drops from Pindle are Griffons, Crown of Ages and Deaths Fathom. Fire sorcs are good here if you have a good merc.

Frigid -
Frigid has Eldritch and Shenk, both of which are good for random uniques like Dracs, Silks and low set items. There main asset however is the amount of rares they drop. Most characters can run Frigid but Eldritch and his minions are cold immune.

Nilithak -
Nilithak is down one of the 4 sprouts of the Halls of Vaught, accessed through the Halls of Pain, tele back from here to the Halls of Anguish to do Pindleskin. Nili can drop Destruction keys but be careful as his corpse explosion is violent. Just aim for him and kill him before he kills you, with natures peace you should be ok. His GCs are also good for cubing to get 45 lifers. Hammys are good for the easy tele on and kill, my Tal Light Sorc can run him though.

Baal -
Baal is amazing, any item can drop from Baal except the same as the Pits. Getting to him is easy, simply tele to the Throne of Destruction and kill his minions, he\’ll disspear. Follow him. The experience is good, just make sure you can kill them.
